Session Desription: This is a first in a proposed series where we will look at antibodies to red cell antigens that are more prevalent in different parts of the world. Our journey starts in the Shire (USA) as we encounter antibodies relevant to the area we work in. We will then travel east through Middle-earth to Saudi Arabia, where we will recognize similarities but also differences in those we are trying to protect, our patients! We can’t destroy antibodies, but we can learn to work peacefully with them utilizing methods available to us. While different languages are spoken, the language of antibody identification is one in its own. Along the way we will also learn the language and history of the methods. Join us on our journey to find antibodies!
