Objectives: - The symposium will be presented in two parts: - Part 1 will illustratively describe the iTTP pathophysiology, epidemiology/diagnostic considerations, burden of disease, facets of pathology and corresponding treatment axes, before discussing the ISTH guidelines on diagnosis and treatment of iTTP. - Part 2 will review the rationale and the recently revised iTTP outcome definitions (clinical response, exacerbation, remission, and relapse) by the International Working Group (IWG 2021), the important implications on clinical management of iTTP, and finishing with two case vignettes to understand real-world application of these new practices.
