Jose Quesada was born in Costa Rica. He is a graduate from the University of Costa Rica in 1991. Worked in the United States Army for 29 years in the Laboratory and obtained a Masters Degree at George Washington University in 2002 in Immunohematology. He obtained the SBB in 2001 and has been working in Donor Centers and Transfusion Centers since them. He was also the Director of the Army and Navy MLT program for the Armed Forces. Jose retired from the Army in 2020 and started working with South Texas Blood and Tissue. He is currently the Sr. Director for the Manufacturing Laboratory, the IRL and Transfusion Services. He also serves as the Coordinator for the Biobridge/University Health SBB Program.
Jose Quesada is a co-author of various publications and posters. He has participated as speaker at the AABB, America’s Blood Centers, The Society of American Federal Medical Laboratory Scientist, the Clinical Laboratory Management Association, and overseas at the Chilean Society of Hematology.
