Mandy Flannery O’Leary is an Associate Member of the Department of Pathology at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and an Associate Professor of the Department of Oncologic Sciences at University of South Florida. She completed an Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Resident, and a clinical fellowship in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine at Hoxworth Blood Center, University of Cincinnati. Dr. O’Leary is board certified in Clinical Informatics, Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine, as well as Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology. Dr. O’Leary is a member and chair of the Information Systems Committee of the AABB. For over twenty years, she has worked extensively with lab information systems, clinical decision support, medical student teaching and resident and fellow training in Informatics, in addition to her service work for the last 14 years in blood banking, apheresis, transfusion medicine and recently in HLA.
