The future of the blood and biotherapies fields depends on our ability to prepare a new generation of leaders and skilled professionals to continue advancing the field. To meet this need, organizations invest massive resources in learning and development initiatives to equip employees and leaders for success.
The greatest challenge, however, is ensuring that these educational initiatives both hit the mark, providing the tools and insights needed in a format that meets learners where they are, and that they lead to real skill building and behavioral change.
In this interactive and highly practical session, we will share insights on the essential elements for a successful training program, including practical, concrete tools that support the learning before, during and after the training event. This toolkit will be provided to all attendees. We will also explore strategies for leadership development and skill-building that you can begin to implement in your organization right away and provide you with opportunities to exchange ideas with peers. Finally, we will showcase examples of leadership and learning programs in the blood and biotherapies field and leave you with inspiration and insights that you can apply in your own organization to grow the next generation of leaders.
This session is presented by a leading international instructional design firm that has collaborated with AABB and Canadian Blood Services to develop training modules for individual donor assessment and AABB’s Leadership Certificate in Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine.
